Commissioning: Process and Pricing

Process:

• Commissioned Art is Original and Personalized so the first step is to get to know you and the vision that you have for the piece. This is can be done via email, phone, or in person depending on location.
  
• The size of the project and a general, rough idea of the style are acquired. An idea proposal and price estimate can now be given, free of charge.
•  If moving ahead to the next step, for a non-refundable $100.00, sketches will be sent along with some style and color ideas.
•  If the job is approved, a simple form contract is signed, there is more creative discussion, sketches are developed into working drawings, and a timetable is set.

Pricing:

• Cost reflects the size and the complexity of a project.
• Creative Labor hours are approximated at best.
• Materials and Expendables are calculated and added.
• If shipping is required, it is calculated and added.
• If travel is required, airfare and accommodations are calculated and added.
• A 50% down payment is collected and the work begins.  During the process the client may have input, however, unforeseeable or drastic changes may result in additional charges. Balance is due upon completion.
